Original fiction project - week of 1/2/2011

Ack, I forgot to check in yesterday. There's not a lot to report. I gave a lot of thought to what would be the most useful writing goal for January, and finally decided I was still nowhere near a stage where I felt comfortable enough with my ideas to attempt any sort of plotting or outlining. My best bet was to just keep up my goal of writing 300 words a day.

So far this month, that has taken the form of writing ahead on the weekends so I don't have the pressure of needing to bang out the words during the week when I'm tired, unless of course something pops in my head, which it does from time to time.

This week, I plan to use random word prompts and other prompts just to stretch my ideas outside the box and keep the fresh (more-interesting-than-what-I-have-so-far) ideas coming.
